Wednesday’s Wallpaper of the Week

It’s been pretty good to be an Adventure Kartel fans recently with F-Legion, King Thumb and his 10 Finger Gang showing up in collector’s homes the world over. In light of that, we wanted to do something a little different for our wallpaper this week. We reached out to someone who’s work many of you may be familiar with. Brizl’s artwork shows up at just about every ThreeA Bambaland drop. He’s skillfully pushed out more images depicting, De Plumes, Tomorrow Kings, Cherry Bombs and of course, Zombs than probably anyone other than A. Wood. We’re so happy that he drew this exclusive image for us/you to enjoy!

We asked him to give us a little run down of what makes him tick and this is what he wrote us:

“Currently, I  do graphic design as my full-time job, but I’m a starving artist at heart. Growing up with anime/manga, it is the one art form that got me into drawing hard core. But ever since discovering 3A, it has opened my imagination so much more. Whenever I can squeeze in the time, I get my trusty brush, ink, markers and a pencil and let it all out on the paper. One day I hope I can say I that I do this stuff professorially!”

You can check out more of Briz’s work on his personal blog here and his deviant art page here.

Thanks again Brizl!

Wednesday’s Wallpaper of the Week

Giggle.

That’s what I did when I realized just how appropriate our featured photographer’s screen name is. This weeks wallpaper comes to us from the lens of the mighty iHump (giggle). It features in soft pink hues, the sexy (ahem, for a toy) 3A’s Popbot TQ Lolli (review here) and her brutha from another toy universe, Adventure Kartel’s SXCLB Bouncer Ankou.

I can’t help but think that they look so great together it’s a shame that Little Shadow (who comes with the SXCLB Bouncer in a set) didn’t also sport a pink suit and instead went for latex black.

Thanks to iHump (giggle) for contributing this super nice image! Hang tight and you’ll see more great images from him here in the future!

Enjoy!

3AA Details revealed

You can see the whole thing here if you like..

The highlights for those with lazy fingers… and I quote.

3AA 2012 goes onsale 13th Jan at 9-00am, the sale will last 24 hours and the opportunity to join 3AA will not come around till the same time next year!

3AA 2012 costs $180USD, the member pack consists of 15% discount to any product purchased directly from 3A via Bambaland or conventions etc for the period of 12 months ( under the account name the 3AA 2012 was purchased ), 3AA messenger bag, 3AA baseball cap ( regular size ), membership card and the exclusive Adventure Kartel 1/6th figure F-LEGION.

Zang! $180 is higher than last year, which was $150. But come on! That price isn’t too shabby for an awesome looking 1/6 fig, swaggah and a year of 15% off bamba purchases! Plus if you’re already in 3AA, you even get 15% off the price of renewing your membership.. $153. Boom!Practically the price of last years.

One thing I noticed was in the detailed info about the difference between 3AA and standard sales.  3AA exclusive figs have been a thing for awhile, as have time guarantee’s for3AA members. But a new additions this time around is the passing mention of Ashley Wood 1:1 editions. Does this mean only members will have access to the (much) larger scale releases Ash has been teasing everyone with the past year? And will 15% off a $3000 (blind est.) toy really make enough price difference for anyone san and normal to afford it? :

*review* Ankou EX Fat Drown

It’s beginning to look a like Christmas around here with all the 3A goodies that keep showing up on my doorstep. Surprising me yesterday was 3A’s Ankou EX Fat Drown. Ankou is a character from Ashley Wood’s Adventure Kartel line … Continue reading
